Our curriculum is dedicated to the Whole Child…Mind, Body & Spirit! It offers a magical exploration into global education for young children. We use a comprehensive approach to education that guides and grows a child’s connection to their emotional, social, and environmental consciousness, regardless of their learning style and individual strengths. By combining high level academics with eco-literacy and mindfulness, we are giving children the tools they need to change the world!
Ownership
In 2008, Rajendra Agrawala, a talented engineer, and his wife Dr. Sangeeta Agrawala, a respected pediatrician felt that the early childhood education offer was limited to a “one size fits all” model. They decided to branch out and open a different type of early learning school. Rising Star Academy Katy opened its doors in 2009. The goal was to stay away from the corporate models of the national chains. By consistently staying up to date with the latest child development researches, as well as clean assessments, ASQs, best practices and the utmost level of care and professionalism amongst the staff, their exceptional academy gained and maintained its reputation for being a warm and loving place for all children, all families, all cultures. This family-owned school grew, and in 2022, Mr. Raj opened a second location in Richmond. This family-owned private school believes in servant-leadership, and this is why Mr. Raj is on site daily, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and seamless communication.

Safety and Security
Our buildings are designed with the safety and security of your children in mind. All doors are locked from the outside and only authorized parents with their individual front door codes can enter the building. The lobby is monitored by staff during operating hours. Every classroom is designed with safety features and has direct access to the outdoors in case of an emergency. All staff members are trained in infant, child, and adult CPR & First Aid. All staff members passed strict background checks. Closed-circuit cameras that are continuously monitored by management. Password-protected camera access for parents to check in on their child at any time. Tempered-glass walls and doors for situational awareness. Emergency and inclement weather preparedness plans.

Our teachers and staff, multi-cultural loving professionals
At Rising Star Academy, our staff “Shoots for the Stars”! Our professional staff encourages individual exploration and growth in a well-equipped environment that is stimulating, safe, consistent, and nurturing. We strive to hire teachers who genuinely care to meet your families, not just “day care workers”. We look for teachers who are passionate, feel called to the profession and love spending their days with early learners. To foster whole-child learning, our teachers specialize in specific areas of learning. All of our teachers go through ongoing training to offer your child the best learning experience possible. This training process includes several types of methods of instructions such as: online classes, and in-service courses. All of our teachers are CPR and first-aid certified. Most of our lead-teachers have at least a Bachelor degree.
