Spanish Curriculum
Studies show the vast benefits from learning a second language, and it’s never too early to start! Students will receive Spanish instruction twice a week with a dedicated instructor who will lead them in hands-on activities that teach commonly used words and phrases. Children will play games, listen to stories, and dance to music while engaging with new vocabulary words.
Science Curriculum
One of our numerous key differentiators is our enrichment room, which students have the opportunity to visit every day. Our enrichment teacher leads students in theme-related, hands-on science experiments that follow the Pre-K TEKS guidelines and are differentiated by age group.
Music & Movement
We incorporate music and movement in all of our age groups throughout the day. Music and movement activities help build gross motor skills and allow students the chance to showcase their creativity. Many of our centers also host dance instructors, musicians, soccer, yoga for kids, and much more!
Gymnastics & Dance
At Rising Star Academy we have an indoor gym that is accessible for use throughout the day. The children will be taught the basics of gymnastics in a safe, fun and loving environment. The children will be able experience flips, rolls, crab walking, cart wheels, and different gross motor exercise to work out the large and small muscle groups.
Technology
We are committed to bringing the best, current educational technologies to your child. Our state-of-the-art facilities include touchscreen tablets in the classroom. Diverse technologies allow teachers to incorporate games and interactive videos and to customize lesson plans to individual students.
Gardening
Gardening is a great way for kids to learn about the environment. Children are excited to take care of livings thing and to see (and taste!) the rewards of their hard work.
Cooking
In early stages of development, children are seeking to understand and imitate the exciting and complex world around them. Our cooking program introduces kids to the kitchen, while using skills like counting, pouring, food preparation and clean up. Our students learn how to cook with the help of teachers, they are taught all safety precautions one should take in kitchen. After students have made their pizza.
